Originally their engagement session was scheduled for a few weeks ago, but my family and I got hit with the flu pretty bad and we had to reschedule…it all worked out perfectly though because we ended up with amazing weather that was perfect for their session…and they didn’t have to wear their winter coats! yay!

These two are adorable, inside and out, and I just LOVE how fabulous they are in front of the camera. Maybe they should be part-time models after the wedding Just sayin’

Oh how I LOVE Kelly & Doug! I adore them…not only because we seem to share the same LOVE for the Grand Ledge Opera House (where I also got married), but because they are some of the most fun and most genuine people I have ever met. Their wedding day was filled with lots of LOVE and tons of fun and I am so glad that I was able to be there to capture it. Hanging out with people in love is my favorite thing to do!

At the reception, Kelly changed her wedding flower to a red one…I LOVE when brides mix things up for party time.so cute!!LOVE this one! What an honor to be able to be part of you day…I wish you both many many years of happiness! xoxo

RSVP Events did a fabulous job putting it all together!

Katie & Dave go together like peas & carrots…and I LOVE them to pieces! Their sweet little backyard wedding, overlooking the lake, was filled with vintage details and handmade touches that were as adorable as could be! I am so honored to be able to work with such wonderful couples….and Katie + Dave are definitely at the top of my list of all time favorite people! I am just sooo happy for the two of them and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for them!

Even though Katie walked down the rose petal covered aisle in her bare feet….she still had some sweet little yellow shoes that I loved! What a perfect combo with her yellow and pink wedding colors.Katie….you are stunning!!! Hangin’ with the boys is always a blast!but the girls are pretty fabulous too… Bravo for brides who let their girls wear different colored dresses…its so much fun to think outside of the box!Katie & Dave had the sweetest little flower girls…and instead of traditional wedding music they chose to have a wonderfully talented friend stroll behind them singing “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson…it was honestly one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever seen…

There is something so wonderful about the fact that they were married under an old tree in Dave’s parent’s backyard….I completely adore weddings like these!

Until the day of their session, I hadn’t met them in person yet, but I knew by our many emails and phone conversations that we would have tons of fun together….and I was soooo right! We hung out in Grand Ledge for their engagement session…and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day….it was just perfect!

We found a really fun abandoned building to shoot by….my two most favorite things…people in love and old buildings….I was in heaven!

Heather and Jason LOVE exploring the Great Outdoors, so they wanted to head up to Ludington State Park for their engagement session….I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to do their shoot….Michigan can have some tricky weather though (especially in May) so last minute we thought we might have to cancel due to rain….but we crossed our fingers, said our prayers and decided to go with it anyway….and everything turned out as beautiful as could be (: I am so blessed to have such amazingly laid back clients….even if it did rain, I am pretty sure they would have danced in it…and I would have been along side them capturing the whole thing

Thanks to them, I am now in love with a whole new part of Michigan…aside from getting pelted with snow every year, living in The Mitten isn’t really all that bad after all I am so excited to go camping and explore more of Michigan this Summer….We really do live in a GORGEOUS state!

During their session, I never wanted to stop shooting! Just about every image of them took my breath away, so when it came down to choosing images for the blog, narrowing it down to only a few was not even an option…so I hope you are ready for lots of eye candy

I am having a serious LOVE AFFAIR with maps lately….

Dear Lord, Can I please have hair like Heather? Thank you in advance…AMENWOWZA!! They are one hot couple!A storm was rolling in….it never ended up raining (yay for us!) but we did end up with some fabulous cloudy skies….so so pretty!Love this one…I can tell Heather totally adores him…awe!By the way, Heather….you are a Stone Cold Fox!!! I’ve always wanted to say that…hehe I just LOVE how Heather and Jason have a way with the camera….they are flippin’ model material Heather….are you kidding me with those eyes! BEAU-TI-FUL!Jason…you are a HOTTIE too! Just thought you should know We were LOVIN’ the dark clouds and the totally empty beach….what a perfect day! Aren’t they adorable together! LOVE me some Birch Trees! Jason is sooo good at looking fierce…I may even have to give Tyra a call….but I LOVED his smile too Models have to be versatile you know…heheThen the sun came out just in time for the end of our session….I could shoot in golden light on the beach all day….

All joking aside, I truly do have the BEST clients in the world and Danielle & Craig are for sure in the running for my all time faves…..ever since we chatted for the first time on the phone, I just knew we clicked…not just as photographer and client, but as friends…they are amazingly fun, so very thoughtful and some of the most genuine people I have ever met. Plus, I LOVE their adventurous spirit! After getting to know each other through mutual friends and dating while living in Michigan…they decided to embark on an amazing adventure and move to L.A.!!! How flippin’ awesome is that??!! Though their wedding will take place here in “The Mitten” next year, but they are very much in LOVE with California, so naturally it was a perfect fit for their engagement session! While I was there, I had such a BLAST hanging out with them and California LOVE must be contagious because I fell madly in LOVE with the West Coast too….I think I need to convince Drew to plan another vacation soon! I am SO excited they chose me to be such a special part of their day! I can’t wait for their wedding!

I LOVE how much they laugh together….Craig is such a hottie! and Danielle is SMOKIN’!!!We almost went to jail over these shots….but I couldn’t resist the wildflowers! We’re such rebels! heheNothing like making out on the Ferris Wheel! Wowza!Aren’t they just so cute together!Work it!!! Jordan & Reuben are the kind of couple that ALWAYS has a blast no matter what they are doing. It was so fun to hang out with them, and see how much they make each other laugh, even while braving the frigid temps of Spring in Michigan…and to also see them put all the jokes aside and truly adore each other. If everyone could have a relationship like theirs, I know the world would be a much better place Happy people in LOVE are my FAVORITE!
